Brighton & relax!

Darren and I spent the weekend in Brighton, we have been so rushed off our feet lately that we've not even had a single day off in the last 3 months! We stayed at the Lansdowne Place Hotel (http://www.lansdowneplace.co.uk), which is situated just off the sea front and is easily walking distance to bars and restaurants etc. We planned to visit a casino, go shopping, go to the cinema and visit LOTS of bars etc, but we were so exhausted when we got there - plus the weather was gorgeous, that we just chillaxed the whole time! We ate, drank, sat still and soaked up the rays!

Bliss!

Happy dayz..

See chillaxing!

Charlotte & Ben (pre-wedding) shoot

I was contacted by Charlotte for a 'save the date' wedding invitations photo shoot. Within seconds of speaking to Charlotte on the phone I instantly liked her, she has a vibrant energy and a great sense of humour that it felt like we were old friends. The day of the shoot was so much fun as Charlotte and Ben were so enthusiastic when it came to posing suggestions and relaxed in front of the camera. Great chemistry.

Here's a few pics from the day.

Happy Dayz x

It's getting busy!

I am chasing my tail at the moment, for the last couple of month’s work has been a little slow then BAM!! This week alone I have had 8 wedding enquiries! I am booked to photograph a small intimate wedding ceremony in Barnet on 3rd March, which I am looking forward too. I also have a meeting with a couple this coming Saturday with regards to a potential engagement shoot, so I will have to be uber charming and witty to win them over - no pressure, huh? They live literally 15mins away from me so hopefully we can book a date so I can shoot them being all lovely dovey with a bit of trendy coolness thrown in!

Oh and there's another engagement shoot in Croydon, which I need to book a date to do... oops, nearly forgot that one!

See I told you it was getting busy.... ;o)

xx

I took this photo on my old Samsung mobile while out running one morning (yes I know - any excuse to stop for a bit), looks pretty eerie methinks.

James and Diana

This was a very spontaneous booking; I received a call about a week prior to the wedding asking if I was available to shoot for a couple of hours. Even though it is rare I do get calls to book my services very close to the wedding day, which keeps me on my toes! However, with little time between the initial call and the actual day it usually means that I do not have time to visit the location prior to the day or attend rehearsals etc, which I like to do so that I can see the kind of natural light available and the space I have to shoot in, but it's all good as it hones my technical abilities and I love a challenge!

The ceremony took place at Sutton Registry Office.

Richard and Roisin

Pre-wedding photo shoot.

This was a shoot we did with Richard and Roisin and their cutie-pie son Charlie, about a month before the actual wedding. Pre-wedding shoots are a great way for a couple - who are not normally comfortable having their photograph taken - to get to know me, Darren and the cameras therefore making things easier on the wedding day. It's also a great way to capture couples in their natural environment (I sound like David Attenborough now!), for only £150 we spend a couple of hours shooting away and the clients get a disc of edited, retouched images. I sometimes suggest that if there's one particular image they really like I can arrange to have this printed in a large format with a thick mount, which they can use at the wedding reception where guests can then sign on the day of the wedding, this can be used in lieu of a guest book.

This can then be framed and hung at home making it an original memento of the day.

Timothy the Groom.

A sunny day in London Town and our friend, Tim was getting hitched to the very glamorous and uber trendy Siobhan and I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph him before the ceremony.  Of course this consisted of drinking many pints of beer to calm the nerves! Hmmmmmmm ;o)
