Emma and Paul

You've got to have friends.....

Darren and I were invited to our good friend Emma's wedding to Paul in fabulous Haselmere, the weather was a scorcher and the bride looked radiant and so so happy! The ceremony and reception were held at Branksome Place - http://www.deverevenues.co.uk/locations/branksome-place.html a lovely place to have a wedding, we all stayed at the hotel and it just felt very private with gorgeous natural surroundings.

Of course I couldn't resist and brought the camera along to take some shots.. here's a few pics.

Ellen and Duwaynne

It's a family affair....


The bride Ellen is my partner, Darren's cousin and they asked us very nicely if "her favourite cousin in the whole wide World" would photograph their special day! As we're easily won over by compliments we obliged. It just meant we had to curb the alcohol consumption until all photography was completed! Ellen and Duwaynne are perfectly suited to one another, ying and yang. The ceremony was beautiful and the bride looked fabulous in a very retro 1950's style. The ceremony took place in leafy Chiswick and the food served at the reception was de-li-cious!!

 

Genevieve and Warren

This was a joy to photograph, both Warren and Genevieve were a fun, warm, friendly and tactile couple who welcomed Darren and I with open arms and treated us as if we were part of the family! Genevieve has recently recovered from a serious illness and this was not only a celebration of their love for each other but a celebration of life! It was a very emotional yet happy occasion. Both are very talented individuals who decided later in life to pursue their musical ambitions. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side and we had to photograph the group shots inside but I think all the smiles make up for the rain outside.

Mum and Dad

I was embarking on a elderly carer photographic project and decided to spent the morning with my (elderly) parents to capture a segment of their daily routine. My parents are nearly 80 and Mum suffers from ill health which means Dad does most of the cooking and housework, which is a total role reversal from when they first got married; Mum (woman) = housewife, Dad (man) = breadwinner. My brother & I = nuisance! Very traditional.
