Allen's 50th Birthday Bash!

My sister in law, Julie asked if I would photograph her brother's 50th birthday party at The Copthorne Hotel, West Sussex - http://www.millenniumhotels.co.uk/copthornegatwick. Of course, I was happy to do this. However, the DJ disco lights and my camera do not always see eye to eye and shooting in - what sometimes feels like - no available light is a real challenge but thanks to my trusted flash gun and 50mm lens, I managed to fight through the darkness and get some fab shots!

I love taking photographs; in fact I get frustrated when there are days when I haven't picked up the camera. If I am not shooting then I am obsessively looking at other photographers work for ideas, inspiration and motivation to just get better and better. When I do a photo shoot I so desperately want the clients to be happy with the end result, therefore I am so chuffed when I receive positive feedback.  Below is an email I received over the weekend from the pre-wedding photo shoot I did with Charlotte and Ben:-

A MASSIVE THANK YOU from Ben & I myself for such wonderful pictures - they look fantastic. You and Darren are so talented to have got all those incredible shots from just 2 hrs of us messing around in the park!!!

Mark and Sarah Sunny Wedding - I was a guest at this one :o)

We were very fortunate to be asked to attend our friends, Mark and Sarah's wedding in gorgeous Headley, Hampshire! The wedding ceremony took place at All Saint's Church and the day couldn't have been more perfect, the bride looked very 'Grace Kelly' in her beautifully designed gown and Mark very debonair in his garb! 

Mark and Sarah have been together for 12 years and decided to mark the anniversary by getting married! 

The reception was held at Sarah's parents house, which was previously owned by Jimmy Page so me being a HUGE Led Zeppelin fan was in total awe for the rest of the evening!

Brighton & relax!

Darren and I spent the weekend in Brighton, we have been so rushed off our feet lately that we've not even had a single day off in the last 3 months! We stayed at the Lansdowne Place Hotel (http://www.lansdowneplace.co.uk), which is situated just off the sea front and is easily walking distance to bars and restaurants etc. We planned to visit a casino, go shopping, go to the cinema and visit LOTS of bars etc, but we were so exhausted when we got there - plus the weather was gorgeous, that we just chillaxed the whole time! We ate, drank, sat still and soaked up the rays!

Charlotte & Ben (pre-wedding) shoot

I was contacted by Charlotte for a 'save the date' wedding invitations photo shoot. Within seconds of speaking to Charlotte on the phone I instantly liked her, she has a vibrant energy and a great sense of humour that it felt like we were old friends. The day of the shoot was so much fun as Charlotte and Ben were so enthusiastic when it came to posing suggestions and relaxed in front of the camera. Great chemistry.
